My husband and I had been married for almost one year, and had decided it was time to buy our first home. We searched for a few months, and finally found a house that we both fell in love with, it needed work but had lots of potential. We immediately started finding out from banks what they would need to approve a loan, but got so despondent after phoning and phoning just to get no help whatsoever, we did receive application forms from the banks, but neither of us could understand half the mumbo jumbo that was written. We decided that maybe buying a house was not as easy as we thought it would be, and maybe we should just rent. Then I remembered my mom telling me a few years earlier that her friend had told her about SA Home Loans, and that she never regretted changing her loan to them, from a bank. I thought, what did we have to lose? So I called SA Home Loans the following day, and the lady that helped me, not only explained ALL the paperwork and documents that we would need to present, but also what it all meant, and what time frame we could expect for the loan to be approved. Within just a few short weeks we received our approval, and arranged with the owners to move in immediately. That date was 16 December 2007, I will never forget it, as it was on my sisters birthday, and they were coming to visit for the holidays in our new home.
