Hi all, first and foremost thank you SA Home Loans for making a lifelong dream a realization in a way that surprised me. The whole process was run so professionally that I could sit at my work desk and watch how things unfolded, all the time with a smile on my face. You guys had done everything needed, all the time, keeping me in the loop and only requiring me to sign certain documents as necessary. My story goes like this. I had been renting and myself being in the financial industry, I knew the importance of getting your own place rather than giving your hard earned income to some other landlord. Personal growth was the focus. I had never owned a home before so knew nothing of the process; but because I was young you(33), and very driven, I proceeded and told myself, if its meant to happen for me, God will send the right people to me to make this dream materialize. I pressed ahead and started viewing homes and found something me and my family really liked. The price of the house was about R100 000 above the amount I believed I could qualify for, but you know that feeling; "this is the one". So here we go. Put in my offer and the next 3 months was nonstop back and forth with all the major banks. I was declined by all the banks other than one who gave me an offer I would only late realize was poor. I need to pay in a huge deposit which I didn't have.
