We have banked with and had a good account with both ABSA and Standard Bank, both banks refused us a bond and to top it all turned us down after weeks, not even days. SA Home Loans gave us a loan to finish our home within a week. The bond should be fully paid by June '12 which is 1.5 years after taking it out. I bet those banks would have enjoyed the business but were too narrow minded!
