My husband was very sick with cancer, and the doctors suggested a drug that cost R12000 per injection x two per week for four weeks. We borrowed some money on our Standard Bank home loan. The loan was in both our names. When he passed away, Standard bank refused to transfer the loan into my name only, I had to borrow the money from a family member in order for them to settle his estate and the loan. (The estate took almost two years). After the estate was settled I applied via the internet for a loan at SA Home Loans, and within two days it was approved. Needless to say Standard Bank has contacted me on several occasions to offer me a home loan. Sorry a little too late. Thank you SAHL.
