About three to five years ago I had the cash to do my kitchen. I shopped around, got quotes and was gob smacked with the last quote with a DVD showing me the end product. The whole family was ecstatic and waiting for work to be completed. We paid deposits and work started in November with anticipation of having the kitchen finish before Christmas. The carcases of the cupboards were installed and we were waiting for doors and granite. We had to pay the next instalment for those items and waited. Sadly we spent Christmas without the completed kitchen which was an embarrassment as we had visitors and no granite top to lay food. We had to use old chipboards to get by. I saved for this for a while, and lost all as the company played dirty and liquidated taking a lot of others down. I had to wait another two years, and just could not save enough and the house looked embarrassingly bad. I had to take a re-advance on my bond with you and finished the job just as the DVD showed. Yes, now our kitchen looks like a home, as it was open plan and it affected the look of the lounge and dining negatively. Now we enjoy our kitchen with pride thanks to the re-advance.
