Being a home owner since the age of 26, I was devastated when I lost my house at the age of 56 years, due to a complicated set of circumstances, involving my daughter and my 3 grandchildren. The result of this was that I had to rent accommodation for all of us. This resulted in us moving around a lot. I retired from work at the age of 55, and during the 5 years that followed, we moved to different houses 5 times. I realised that it was of the outmost importance to become a home owner again. I applied to all the major banks for a loan, including my own bank, where I have been a customer for 43 years. Not one of them was able to grant me a loan which I could afford. A relative then told me about SAHL, and as a last desperate effort, I made contact with Wynand at the Vanderbijlpark branch. I was surprised at the excellent treatment and customer service I received there. Long story short, I got a loan with acceptable terms, and on 24 Nov 2014 we moved into our own house, equipped with a spacious flat, where my wife and I are living very happily with our daughter and grandchildren. Thanks to SAHL, we are now truly on pension with a great deal of peace of mind.
