Lauren & Cyril Goddard
We’ve been together for about 30 years. Cyril rebuilds vintage cars, and I am a national sales manager for a global logistics company. The combination of a fixed income and self-employed income create challenges when life throws you curve balls which is why it is so important for us to make sure that we do effective financial planning.
In our case, the curve ball was some additional medical expenses that came along due to some medical diagnosis in 2023 - I was in hospital twice! We had to sit down and have a look at how we could reduce our expenses, restructure our finances, and find what we could leverage within our assets to help us do that. And that's really where SA Home Loans came into the picture.
We contacted them and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. I must be honest with you. We got through to Penny. She became a personal friend that was assisting us, helping us go through this process of understanding what we could do, how we could leverage our property to help us through this period.
So besides giving us a really good deal, she also gave us tips on, what we could do to reduce expenses even further on short term debt, leveraging the actual property that we have to consolidate debt, for example. So that was very, very helpful and really an amazing experience.
The customer service was just on point. Every single part of the journey with SA Home Loans was fantastic. One on the reasons we accepted the offer and switched our bond to SA Home Loans was because it was such a personalized experience and took so much pressure and anxiety away completely from us.
