We found our dream house and decided to put in an offer to purchase on that house. The sellers immediately agreed on the offer and our next step was to apply for finance. Because we own other properties as well with a well known SA bank, our first reaction was to approach our bankers. We are private ban clients of that particular bank, but were quite disappointed with the service (or should I say lack of service) we got from the bank. I contacted the bank to enquire about the finance, but up to today our personal banker has not even contacted us to ask if we want to proceed with the finance application on the property. We then immediately decided to give SA Home Loans a try. I contacted the Richards Bay office and was referred to Rod. We made an appointment to see Rod the following day with all the necessary documentation and forms. The day of the appointment was a Friday afternoon and Rod told us that we can expect an offer in principle in about 5 working days. We couldn't believe our eyes when we received the offer in principle that same Friday afternoon - a mere 2 hours after our first appointment with SA Home Loans! From there everything was plain sailing. We got our finance approved and will soon be the proud owners of our dream home. We cannot thank SA Home Loans, and in particular Rod, enough for their speedy, friendly and efficient service.
