My previous bonds for my properties were with ABSA Bank. A couple of years back there was a threat of losing my property through a looming bond rate hike and following the advice from ABSA I fixed my rate at about 3 % higher than it was at the time. The looming bond rate hike never materialised and I felt I had given bad advice from ABSA and wanted my rate to be returned to what it was. ABSA refused to accommodate me and I was not happy with their attitude toward me as one of their clients. SA Home Loans gave me excellent service and gave me the deal I needed. I will never use ABSA for a home loan again...
