I'm an FNB employee for the past 6 years. In 2010 I fell pregnant with my second child and felt that it was time to look for a house because a two bedroom flat would be too small for me, my husband, two children (3yrs and baby) and a fulltime helper. After a long search for the right one we finally found a house. As a banker I applied with my bank first and then all the other banks to see which interest rate would be better. After a decline from STD bank a colleague at work advised me to phone SA Home Loans for a quote. I did that immediately and asked for the requirements; the consultant that helped me was so friendly and professional. He asked me some questions on my income and expenditure and worked out roughly what I could afford and he told me that I could only get 90%, which I was very impressed with. He sent me the application forms which I completed together with my husband and I then sent through all the forms and required documents round about 10 the next morning. By 2 o 'clock the same day the consultant contacted me to inform me that it was approved in principal and that that contract should be signed and sent back to him if we accept it. This was so impressive, (the fastest response ever). ABSA and NEDBANK did not get back to me to date and FNB came back with a decline after two weeks (even though they could see I'm staff). I am totally impressed with SA Home Loans and would recommend them to anyone.
