As a young married couple, my husband and I decided that the flat life is not for us and went to see an estate agent to buy a house. We were introduced to a plot & plan development that just arrived in Grahamstown. The house prices in G-stown are very expensive due to Rhodes University and the private schools therefore we decided to go for the option plot & plan. We visited several banks for a loan and ended up at ABSA. One day the guys at my husband's work were talking in general about how much they pay for their houses and his friend mentioned that the Interest Rate at SA Home Loans is better than ABSA. At first I was skeptical as I have never heard of SA Home Loans and don't like to change to things I don't know, in case of a scam. We visited the SA Home Loans branch in Port Elizabeth, there we were helped by a friendly lady who explained everything and answered all my questions. There and then we decided to change over; the necessary documentation was prepared and signed without any problems. We have been a client since 2005 and have been happy with their service ever since.
