I have never owned a home before. I only ever reached my first permanent employment about a year ago. With my bank which is Standard Bank I got pre approved some months ago; however I had to let it go because I needed a deposit to afford the repayment and bond costs. I didn't know that options like FLISP existed and that actually gave me hope. When I realized family members have been subsidized for a home with FLISP. I have found hope in a time where I thought I'll needed to save forever for a home; when it's quite tough with today's unplanned challenges.
